Beef Stew

Ingredients

  • 1 lbs stew meat
  • 2 cups beef or vegetable broth
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 3 - 6 cubed russet or red skin potatoes
  • carrots (to desired amount)
  • green pepper (optional ; to desired amount
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste
  • garlic (powder or fresh) to taste (1 tbsp)

Directions

  • brown stew meat in pot
  • drain fats if needed
  • add stock and spices
  • bring to boil
  • reduce heat
  • simmer 1 hr
  • add veggies
  • simmer until veggies are tender

can use hamburger if formed into meatballs
