Ingredients

  • 1 lbs stew meat
  • 2 cups beef or vegetable broth
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 3 - 6 cubed russet or red skin potatoes
  • carrots (to desired amount)
  • green pepper (optional ; to desired amount
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste
  • garlic (powder or fresh) to taste (1 tbsp)

Directions

  1. brown stew meat in pot
  2. drain fats if needed
  3. add stock and spices
  4. bring to boil
  5. reduce heat
  6. simmer 1 hr
  7. add veggies
  8. simmer until veggies are tender

Notes

can use hamburger if formed into meatballs
