One Pot Ground Beef & Orzo

Ingredients

• 2 whole bay leaves
• 1 tsp oregano
• 1 tbsp garlic powder
• 1/4 - 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
• 1/2 tsp onion powder
• 1.5 cups broth (veggie or beef)
• 1/2 cup red wine
• 2 tbsp soy sauce
• 1.5 cups orzo
• 1 lbs ground beef
• shredded cheddar or shredded ‘mexican style’ cheese

Directions

1. brown meat & drain
2. add spices & toast
3. deglaze pan with liquids
4. stir to combine
5. incorporate orzo
6. cover & bring to boil
7. simmer 15 - 20 mins
8. add cheese (optional, put over top when serving if not adding directly to pan)
