Stuffed Cabbage

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 chopped onion
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • butter
  • 1/2 cup rice

Directions

  1. Add enough water to make beef + rice + onion soft to work with
  2. Mix well
  3. Make rolls
  4. Place meat mixture on base of cabbage leaf
  5. Roll bottom up to cover meat.
  6. Roll sides in so meat mixture is encased
  7. Complete rolling leaf
  8. Place in bottom of large pot
  9. Continue rolling and packing pot
  10. When done, fill pot halfway with water
  11. Add salt and pepper and butter
  12. Cook for approx half hour
