Porcupine Meatballs
Ingredients
Meatball Mix
- 1 1/2 pounds ground beef preferably 85% lean
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 cup long grain, white rice (jasmine)
Gravy
- 2 cups beef broth
- 1 small onion thinly sliced
- 1/2 tsp salt plus more to taste
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp all-purpose flour
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp soy sauce (optional, for depth)
Instructions
- Mix meatball mix
- Mix gravy in pot big enough to hold all meatballs with gravy
- Make meatballs and place in gravy
- Simmer meatballs 30-45 minutes in gravy
