Microwave Eggs

Instructions (over easy / medium / hard)

  • put oil in bottom of mason jar (same as youd use in a frying pan)
  • swirl around
  • crack egg into mason jar
  • season top of egg
  • swirl lightly
  • poke egg with kebab skewer or tooth pick or similar (gently to prevent mixing)
  • cover with paper towel (loosely so steam can escape and prevent explosions)
  • microwave in 10-30s bursts
  • let cool once cooked (itll be hot)
  • shake out onto plate/bowl
  • enjoy

Alternative Styles

Scrambled
scramble then put in jar
Hard Boiled
Cook for a more extended period and itll turn into a boiled egg for consistency / flavor / texture
Poached
Put a measure of water in the bottom of the jar instead of oil
